Speech Therapy

Speech therapy is provided to children and adults presenting with speech, fluency, voice, auditory processing as well as language disorders. Our practice services pre-schools and Primary Schools as well as in-patients admitted to hospitals and outpatients.

Autism

1 in 68 children present with Autism which is a growing and alarming statistic. Autism is a disorder which affects a child’s social interaction, communication and behaviour. Speech Therapy for children with Autism begins as early as 18 months of age. Early Intervention is the essential to help a child improve their speech, language and communication.

Adult Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy helps to improve speech, voice, fluency, language and overall communication with Adults who present with the following:

  • Stokes and head injuries
  • Cancer of the throat
  • Neurological diseases e.g. Parkinson’s, Muscular Dystrophy, Myasthenia Gravis
  • Bells Palsy/ Facial Nerve Palsy
  • Adult Stuttering and Dysfluency
  • Vocal hoarseness/ harshness
